PTSD / C-PTSD Diagnostic Assessment and Report

For individuals affected by trauma or seeking a diagnosis and guidance for PTSD or C-PTSD

This service is for those who have experienced a traumatic event or ongoing trauma and are seeking a gold standard, private PTSD or C-PTSD diagnostic assessment. The process is highly sensitive, confidential, and designed to offer clarity, validation, and practical next steps.

Available for medico-legal assessment and reports. Not available for court appearance/oral evidence.

Depending on your particular background and presentation your assessment may include:

  • 2-hour clinical assessment session
    Comprehensive exploration of your trauma history, symptom profile, coping strategies, support systems, and any relevant previous diagnoses or treatments.

  • Specialist psychometric and structured tools may include depending on client’s needs:

    • Clinician-Administered PTSD Scale for DSM-5 (CAPS-5): The international gold standard for PTSD assessment.

    • International Trauma Questionnaire (ITQ): The International gold standard for C-PTSD assessment (briefer self report version).
    • International Trauma Interview (ITI): The International gold standard for C-PTSD assessment.
    • PTSD Checklist for DSM-5 (PCL-5): Self-report measure to complement the clinical interview and the CAPS-5  or ITQ where indicated.

    • Additional measures: When indicated, brief screens for dissociation, depression, OCD, agoraphobia, or anxiety, to capture the complexity of trauma’s impact.

  • Comprehensive written report:
    Clear diagnostic summary, clinical formulation, and tailored recommendations for psychological support, therapy, or further steps.

Session length: 90 minutes (clinical interview and assessment) 
Standard Service: From £1100 | Report delivered within approximately 7 business days
Location: In-person (4 Devonshire Street) or online
Note: Half of the payment is due at time of signing the agreement and the final half is due by the time of the assessment appointment for self-paying clients. Please seek pre-approval if using private insurance; only some providers will cover this cost.
