Psychotherapy and EMDR

Psychotherapy may continue as individual 50-minute sessions or as an 8-session block. A 90-minute consultation or intensive session is available for clients who would like a more in-depth first appointment, and is used as the first session within EMDR blocks. EMDR is offered as a structured block rather than as isolated one-off sessions.

Includes the 90-minute initial consultation as the first of the 8 sessions, followed by seven further psychotherapy sessions. Valid for one year.

EMDR is not offered as a one-off session. The first one or two EMDR sessions may involve assessment, preparation, stabilisation, resourcing and treatment planning before trauma processing begins.

Supervision

I offer clinical supervision for psychotherapists, counsellors and trainees who are seeking thoughtful, depth-oriented supervision with attention to clinical formulation, the therapeutic relationship, risk, ethics, unconscious process and the emotional and practical demands of the work. A commitment to weekly supervision is generally expected.

Fees for private psychological assessments and reports vary according to scope, purpose, documentation, complexity and report length. More complex matters are quoted individually before work begins.

Insurance

I am recognised by a number of private insurers, including Bupa Global / Bupa International, Cigna, WPA, Allianz and Aviva. Please note that I am not registered with Bupa UK.

Please contact your insurer before booking to confirm authorisation, session limits, excess payments and whether your policy covers psychotherapy, EMDR or assessment work.

Policies and Payment

Fees are payable in advance unless otherwise agreed.
Block bookings are payable in full, non-refundable and valid for one year.
48 hours’ notice is required for cancellation. Late cancellations are usually charged in full.
Repeated late cancellations may require a review of whether the appointment structure remains clinically appropriate.
Payment may be made by bank transfer, PayPal or card using the payment button in the booking or confirmation email.
Bank transfer details are provided after booking or within the assessment agreement.
