CICA Psychological Assessments & Reports

Expert Clinical Reports for the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) – Harley Street, London

Supporting Your Recovery with Rapid, Professional Psychological Evidence

If you have experienced a traumatic crime—whether in childhood or adulthood—you may be entitled to compensation through the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA). As part of your application, CICA often requires a detailed psychological report from a qualified clinical psychologist to evidence the impact of the trauma on your mental health.

I specialise in providing comprehensive CICA psychological assessments and reports for adults who have suffered trauma, including historic abuse, assault, and other life-altering events. My practice is based in Harley Street, London, offering a discreet, professional, and compassionate service—with report turnaround in as little as one week after your final assessment session.

What is a CICA Psychological Report?

CICA requires a report from a clinical psychologist (not a GP or counsellor) that provides:

  • Formal psychological diagnosis (e.g., PTSD, complex PTSD, depression, anxiety)

  • Assessment of severity and how symptoms affect your daily life

  • A clear link between the trauma and your current psychological difficulties

  • Recommendations for ongoing support and recovery

What to Expect from the Assessment

Your assessment will include:

  • One 2-hour clinical interview with assessment (in person or remote)
I will listen carefully to your story, explore your history, and understand the full impact of the trauma.

  • Standardised psychometric questionnaires
These may include measures for PTSD, depression, anxiety, and functional impairment—ensuring the report is robust and recognised by CICA. I will send you some questionnaires to fill out and send back to me prior to your appointment.

  • Review of any previous diagnoses or therapy history
If you have been given any formal or informal mental health diagnoses in the past, I will incorporate these to provide a comprehensive picture.

The Report

After the assessment, you will receive a detailed, professional report suitable for submission to CICA. The report will include:

  • Diagnostic formulation using internationally recognised standards (DSM-5/ICD-11)

  • Severity ratings and detailed symptom profile

  • Evidence of functional impact on your work, relationships, and daily life

  • Clear causation statements linking your difficulties to the crime or trauma in question

  • Recommendations for ongoing support or treatment (where needed)

In most cases, I will send your completed report within one week of your assessment session—so you can move forward with your CICA application without unnecessary delay.

Fees

  • The full assessment process—including two sessions, all psychometric testing, and the written report—is offered at a fee of £1,500.

  • This reflects the time, expertise, and care taken to ensure your report is robust and meets CICA’s requirements.
