Comprehensive, professional ADHD assessments conducted entirely online by Dr C. Comfort Shields (CPsychol, AFBPsS, MBACP-Accred, FRAI), based in London’s Harley Street district.

Private Adult (18 Years and Older) ADHD Assessment (Online Only)

At Comfort Shields Practice, we offer a structured, two-step online ADHD assessment process designed for accuracy, clarity, and accessibility. Each assessment is personally conducted by Dr C. Comfort Shields, Chartered Clinical Psychologist.

Our approach ensures that you only proceed to a full diagnostic assessment if ADHD appears likely following an initial screening.

Step 1: Initial Screening – £590

Duration: 50 minutes (online via secure video link)

The screening stage helps determine whether a full ADHD assessment is appropriate.

What’s included:

  • A 50-minute online clinical interview exploring attention, focus, impulsivity, emotional regulation, and developmental history

  • Pre-session questionnaires completed in advance will include:

    • Adult Self-Report Scales

    • A brief executive-function and emotional-regulation checklist

  • A collateral questionnaire for someone who has known you well since childhood (e.g. parent, sibling, long-term friend, or partner)

Following the screening, you’ll receive one of two recommendations:

  1. Proceed to Full Diagnostic Assessment – if ADHD appears likely or further clarification is needed.

  2. Alternative Recommendations – if ADHD seems unlikely and other factors (such as anxiety, trauma, depression, or burnout) may be more relevant.

Step 2: Full Diagnostic Assessment – Additional £850 (following the £600 for the initial screening)

If ADHD is indicated, you may proceed to the full diagnostic stage.

What’s included:

  • The DIVA-5 Structured Diagnostic Interview for ADHD in Adults, conducted online over an in-depth session of approximately 90 minutes

  • An integrated diagnostic formulation and detailed written report outlining findings, conclusions, and tailored recommendations

  • A 30-minute online feedback session to discuss results and plan next steps (for example, referral to GP or psychiatrist, therapeutic support, or workplace/academic adjustments)

Please note:
The full diagnostic assessment fee of £850 is payable only after completion of the initial screening (£600).
The total cost for both stages, if completed, is £1,440.

Why this approach works

  • Evidence-based: The process follows NICE guidelines and uses validated diagnostic tools.
